About This Position

Maintain solar cell production equipment.  Must be able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, consult with engineering staff as required and perform preventative maintenance. 

Position-Related Responsibilities:
  • Service, and maintain vacuum, and robotic equipment used for the manufacture of thin film solar cells
  • Help define and conduct preventative maintenance on equipments as indicated and required by GSPS system 
  • Troubleshoot equipment electric problems 
  • Specify electronic component, panels, and drawings for new equipments
  • Wire all electric components and assemble new equipments 
  • Understand electrical and mechanical drawings and redline as required 
  • Keep work area clean and neat
  • Operate machine tools and meters
  • Must be flexible with daily schedule and available weekends
  • Follow procedures and instructions relating to management of hazardous waste
  • Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
  • 3 Years of experience
  • Proficient with DVM, hand tools, and machine tools
  • Mechanically inclined and capable of independent action
  • Able to work in a team environment as well as individually
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to perform repetitive work
  • Ability to load and unload webs. (50lbs)
  • Good electrical skills 
  • Basic understanding of automation equipment
