Kirk Shockley

Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Shockley joined Global Solar as its Chief Operations Officer in June 2011. He brings broad global manufacturing operations experience from the North America, Europe and Asia. He has a proven track record of leadership and developing strong leaders and teams.

Prior to joining Global Solar, Mr. Shockley served as Vice President of the Film and Electrolytic Capacitors Business Group at KEMET Electronics Corporation with full P&L responsibilities for the $270 million business and manufacturing operations in the US, Germany, China, Mexico, UK, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria, and Indonesia. He also previously served as the Vice President of Integration and Director of China Operations at KEMET Electronics.  He has led start-up operations in China, Mexico and the US and the integration of three acquisitions. He has lived abroad as an expatriate in China and Italy and has had other international assignments working in Germany, Portugal and Japan.

Mr. Shockley holds a BS in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
